LEE KEMP only needed five hours at an Essex syndicate to take a 23 lb linear mirror carp and then this 44 lb 12 oz mirror carp called James’ Fish – and then promptly packed up.

Brightlingsea-based Lee, 33, cast under an overhang on an island and fed 150 16 mm Sticky Baits Manilla boilies with a corkball pop-up over the top.
The ground worker said: “I packed up straight away after as it was the fish I really wanted and didn’t see much point hanging about, especially as I’d had a nice linear as well.”
